J. "Digger" Doyle's map of Robin's Nest
Robin's Nest is the name of the Robin Masters estate in Hawaii.
Background[]
After his time as a war journalist, Robin Masters stayed in the bed, where he wrote his first White Knight novel "White Knight: Queen's Gambit". He loved being there so much that once the White Knight franchise became a runaway global success, he decided to purchase the entire property and christened it "Robin's Nest".[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Pāhonu[]
The actual estate used in Magnum, P.I. (1980) was named Pāhonu in Hawaiian. It is located at 41-505 Kalanianaole Hwy, Waimanalo, HI 96795, and was owned for many years by the Eve G Anderson Trust.
Pāhonu was used for filming a handful of Hawaii Five-O (1968) episodes prior to its featured use in Magnum, P.I.
The Anderson Trust sold Pāhonu in the 2010s, and the buildings were demolished in April 2018.
