2	One Picture Is Worth	October 8, 1986
2	A deaf woman witnesses a bank robbery where four people are murdered. Magnum agrees to act as her bodyguard after the murderer is released on bail.
3	Straight and Narrow	October 15, 1986
3	Lesley, the prostitute Magnum met while working as a hotel detective, is back and she asks Thomas for help in finding her sister.
4	A.A.P.I.	October 22, 1986
4	Magnum is being awarded the Local PI of the Year Award when the presenter, French detective Jean Claude Fornier, collapses and dies. Thomas, aided by several other PIs, sets out to find the murderer.
5	Death and Taxes	October 29, 1986
5	While the others are away, Magnum begins the hated task of filling out his tax forms for an audit but is interrupted by a phone call from a serial killer with a nursery rhyme for him. The man then hints that he knew about Philippe. When a prostitute and former client of Magnum's is found dead, Magnum ties together the murder with the nursery rhyme. After several more phone calls and another murder, Magnum confronts and kills the murderer, who turns out to be Milton Collins, a former client. Magnum concludes that Collins "died with all the secrets", as Magnum never found out how Collins knew about Philippe.
6	Little Girl Who	November 5, 1986
6	Magnum's ex-wife Michelle (Marta DuBois) (from "Memories Are Forever"). leaves her five-year-old daughter Lily to be safeguarded by Thomas, as she escapes Vietnamese assassins out to kill her and her husband, General Hue. As Thomas watches over the child, he begins to wonder why Michelle has suddenly left Lily with him and if Lily is his own daughter, and once again sets about trying to track down his elusive former wife.
7	Paper War	November 12, 1986
7	When Higgins unwittingly causes Magnum to wipe an expensive computer game loaned from T.C., and Thomas accidentally erases a chunk of Higgins' memoirs stored on the computer, a feud breaks out between the pair. Magnum is trying to break a major, crooked gambling ring that is operating on the islands, but it is none too easy while in the middle of the falling out with Higgins, which starts out with each trying to out-do the other with "eye for an eye" practical jokes, and quickly develops into a particularly bitter battle of wills. The episode ends by Magnum accusing Higgins of being Mr. Robin Masters.

8	Jessica Fletcher helps Magnum investigates an attempt on the life of Higgins and several guests.
9	Kapu	November 26, 1986
9	Magnum saves the life of a native Hawaiian girl who witnesses a hit. Wounded in the getaway, Magnum is nursed back to health on the forbidden island of Kapu.
10	Missing Melody	December 3, 1986
10	T.C.'s children, Melody and Bryant, come to visit him in Hawaii, but at the airport Melody goes missing. It transpires that the young girl has been kidnapped and is being held for $300,000 ransom. Magnum, Rick, and Higgins help in the rush to either raise the ransom money in time, or deduce and find whoever snatched Melody. The kidnapping puts a strain on T.C.'s relationship with his son Bryant, as well as his ex-wife Tina, who quickly comes to Hawaii with her new boyfriend as soon as she hears of the kidnapping of her daughter.
11	Death of the Flowers	December 10, 1986
11	Magnum helps Carol investigate whether her mentor, Judge Hannibal Kearns, is in trouble. Rick plans a birthday party for Icepick.
12	Autumn Warrior	December 17, 1986
12	Higgins takes three boys from a juvenile jail on a survivalist weekend on a deserted island.
13	Murder by Night	January 14, 1987
13	1940's Magnum investigates the murder of a newspaper publisher in a classic whodunit mystery.
14	On the Fly	January 21, 1987
14	Magnum's attempts to secure a pilot's license in order to land a job in Oklahoma are put on hold when T.C. is shot, and it turns out that the bullet was meant for Magnum.
15	Solo Flight	February 4, 1987
15	Magnum goes on a soul-searching trek after a being terminated from a case he couldn't solve. His trip leads him to the top of a mountain where he spotted an old plane crash from WWII, only to be pinned under the fuselage, leg bleeding, and trying to keep from going delirious when he can't free himself.

16	Magnum's 40th birthday is approaching and he is hired to locate a Chinese gang "shaking down' local merchants.
17	Laura	February 25, 1987
17	Frank Sinatra, in his last major acting role casts him as a retired New York cop who learns that his beloved granddaughter was kidnapped and murdered by incredibly vicious sexual predators during his retirement celebration. Sgt. Doheny eventually tracks the two killers to Hawaii and enlists Magnum's help without telling him why he wants to find the men. One of the killers flees Doheny from a murder rap.

18	Cynthia Farrell, the woman Magnum fell in love with while in Los Angeles, is visiting but Thomas is involved with Andrea who claims that someone is going to kill her.
19	The Aunt Who Came to Dinner	March 18, 1987
19	Magnum's favorite aunt, famous playwright Phoebe Sullivan, comes to Hawaii and asks Thomas to protect her from someone trying to kill her.
20	The People vs Orville Wright	April 1, 1987
20	Rick insists that Magnum search for Icepick when he suddenly vanishes, seemingly pulling a disappearing act to avoid some information that could land him in very hot water. But when Rick is arrested for allegedly killing a hitman that was contracted to murder Icepick, Thomas finds himself in the midst of an even more tangled investigation, especially when Rick doesn't deny any of the charges and gives a full confession.
21	Limbo	April 25, 1987
21	In what was originally meant to be the final episode of the series, Magnum is critically wounded in a dockside warehouse firefight and ends up in a coma. He "wakes up" in Limbo with Mac but refuses to believe that he is dead, insisting that he is only dreaming, even though no one but Mac can hear or see him. Magnum finally accepts that he is dead, and says his goodbyes.
