Stacy Ray (born c. 1956) is an actress, director, and teacher of theater, film, and television.

She played Ruth in the 2018 series Magnum P.I.

Early Life[]

She studied at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and received her MFA from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco.

Career Highlights[]

Stacy has worked professionally in New York, Los Angeles, and in major regional theaters. She has directed at ACT, Interact Theatre Company in Los Angeles, Pacific Resident Theatre Company, and for television. Stacy has guest-starred for television and is a voiceover actor for both television and film. Her credits include roles in Quantum Leap and Last Resort. She played Dr. Simone Dusek in Hawaii Five-0.

She is currently an assistant professor at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. She has previously taught at schools including UC-Berkeley, NYU-Tisch School of the Arts, Circle-in-The-Square (NYC), and The George Washington University. While in Los Angeles, Stacy served as the Associate Director of the Stella Adler Academy of Acting teaching Technique and Advanced Scene Study and is a founding member and former president of Interact Theatre Company. Stacy is a member of Actors Equity and a vested member of the Screen Actors Guild, SAG/AFTRA.
